Description:
Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a opening to join our Supply Chain organization.
Day to Day:
  • To coordinate Sourcing and Request For Quotation (RFQ’s) activities for freight as required within the global market place
  • To coordinate domestic and international shipping (collections & deliveries) of all materials and tooling to our internal/external customer requirements
  • To prepare, issue and review for completeness all domestic and international shipping paperwork
  • To monitor all domestic & international shipments, trouble shoot matters arising and communicate accordingly with internal external customers
  • To issue import/exports clearance instructions, expedite and review all import/ export declarations for completeness via appointed brokers, requesting amendments where appropriate
  • To liaise with the Materials Specialist to ensure goods are dispatched to our external customer requirements and achieve the company goal of Perfect On-Time Delivery.
  • To administrate the company IPR, OPR, Customs Warehousing Registers and maintain all local records in line with our HMRC Authorisations.
  • Carry out prompt purchase order administration and invoice query resolution to support accounts payable process
  • Expedite company materials purchases to ensure on–time deliveries from the supply base
  • To liaise with the Capital Parts Coordinator to support tracking and shipping of the Global Chromalloy Capital Parts program.
  • To liaise & coordinate all activities with appointed freight vendors and support the Supply Chain Manager in the ongoing management and approvals within this supply category.
  • To support the Supply Chain Manager in preparation for and completion of audit by internal and external auditors (HMRC).
  • To support data collation requests and monthly reporting requirements from the global logistics team
  • To support EU Trade Compliance Manager with any changes to Corporate Trade Policies, implementation of new Policies and other tasks as required
  • To provide logistics advice/support to the wider “Chromalloy” team as required
  • To provide support to other Supply Chain Team members as required e.g. dispatch, purchasing, Chromalloy Capital Parts (CCP) during periods of peak activity, annual leave and absence.
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and support their implementation
  • Comply with all company Trade Compliance and QHSE policies and procedures and participate actively in all local initiatives e.g. Near Miss Reporting

Additional Information:

Education:

  • Education to Standard Grades level desirable

Experience:      

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience within a logistics / freight forwarding / import & export environment
  • Demonstrated experience in booking and coordinating air, sea and road shipments globally
  • Demonstrated experience in Incoterms (2010), UK trade tariff and customs special procedures as follows:
    • storage comprising of Customs Warehousing (CW) and Free Zones
    • specific use comprising of Temporary Admission (TA) and End-Use (EnU)
    • processing comprising Inward and Outward Processing
    • transit
  • Basic awareness of Public Notice 3001: Customs Special Procedures for the Union Customs Code
  • Demonstrated experience in customs administration and record keeping
  • Experience within a Power, Oil & Gas or manufacturing industry sector advantage but not essential

      Skills:  

  • Good computer experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook programs
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal, numeracy and written skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at varying levels of the business
  • Attention to detail whilst working to tight deadlines
  • Operate in the global market place – multiple currencies, multiple time zones
