Metrology Engineer will provide measurement guidance and support in the Metrology, Gage Repair & Calibration and Tool & Gage Inspection, and other areas in manufacturing. This includes support for performance of calibrations, special measurements, measurement experiments, and maintenance of measurement equipment. The Engineer will devise new testing methods and calibration procedures, perform measurement uncertainty analysis, review calibrations, write technical and calibration reports, and specify / procure measurement equipment. Performs project management and design, development, evaluation, and quality control functions on highly complex engineering projects, regularly offering innovative solutions to significant technical problems. Applies mathematical, physical science, and advanced engineering technologies in accomplishing engineering objectives. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignments. Recognized authority within area of expertise with wide versatility of experience and capability.
You Must Have
- Bachelor’s Degree in electrical, Mechanical or other Engineering discipline
- Four or more years of engineering experience, including the performance of calibrations and special measurements.
- Software: PD-DMIS advanced programming skills
- GD&T advanced level
- Blueprints interpretation for Aerospace industry
- Demonstrated effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, analytical, and organization skills
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Matlab, LabView, Visual Basic
- Understanding of GD&T through formal training or work experience.
