Dallas, Texas, hosting 21st annual MRO Americas

MRO Americas 2016, the largest gathering of the commercial and military aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul industry, gets underway April 5 - 7 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, Texas. Over 800 exhibitors will be featured, and the conference agenda will offer more than 60 sessions.

As an MRO Americas 2016 Platinum Level Sponsor, Chromalloy will exhibit a wide range of services for aircraft engines, including repairs for shrouds, blades, and vanes, and material and asset management. Participants can visit Chromalloy at Booth 1207.

The opening conference session at MRO Americas 2016 will be presented by Ed Walton, UPS Airlines. The keynote speaker will be Kevin McAllister, President & CEO, Services, GE Aviation. Conference topics will range from an annual industry analysis and forecast, to drones in the maintenance business, a carrier fleet overview, predictive operations and maintenance, and supply chain management.

Feely joins Chromalloy as Vice President, Global Sales

Rich Feely, a long-time aerospace leader with expertise in business development, management, and marketing, has joined Chromalloy's Commercial Aero & Military SBU as Vice President, Global Sales. Feely worked for the past 15 years at Goodrich / UTC Aerospace, where this most recent role was Director, Business Development & Strategy.

Prior to that, he has held leadership roles in business development, business unit management, and marketing. He began his career at Rosemount Aerospace in engineering, which culminated in a business unit leadership role focused on a strategic relationship with Airbus. Feely holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.

 
 

Paton named Regional Sales Manager - Aeroderivatives

Chromalloy has appointed William Paton, a long-time aeroderivative industry leader, to the role of Regional Sales Manager - Aeroderivatives. Paton has more than 25 years of expertise, with experience as a Field Service Engineer at TransCanada Turbines. Earlier, he held other key roles, including serving as Regional Sales Lead for eight years.

Paton will be based in Glasgow, Scotland, at Turbine Services - a Chromalloy company. He will focus on growing Chromalloy's LM2500/6000 business in the Middle East/Europe and Asian regions, where he will manage aftermarket sales activities.

 
 

CTOTF gathering for Frame 7 users is underway

With the theme of 1975 - 2016, Celebrating 41 Years Meeting Turbine Operating Challenges: A Proud Heritage - An Exciting Future, the 41st annual CTOTF (Combustion Turbine Operations Technical Forum) conference is underway now through April 7 at the Renaissance World Golf Resort in St. Augustine, Florida.

As a Super Champion of this year's CTOTF gathering, Chromalloy is exhibiting a complete line of repairs, advanced coatings, and services for Frame 7 users.

Featured at the conference is a full agenda of plenary forums and roundtables with industry experts. Keynote speaker Wolfgang Mueller, GE Power Service Executive Product Leader, opened the gathering. Other roundtables and sessions address operational and management issues, overhaul practices, disruptive technologies, market dynamics, and other topics.
