San Antonio appoints new Business Development Manager

Stephen Chung has been appointed Business Development Manager for Commercial Aero and Energy (Industrial Gas Turbines) at Chromalloy’s San Antonio, Texas, operation. Previously Chung was Business Development Manager at the company’s Windsor, Conn., facility.

He joined the company in 2012 after several years at Honeywell Aerospace in various positions of increasing responsibility. Chung holds a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial and systems engineering and a Master of Science in operations research from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

 

Middle East’s largest maintenance gathering kicks off February 5

The region’s largest maintenance industry gathering – MRO Middle East – will take place February 5-6 at the Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai, UAE. The conference and exhibition will feature more than 150 companies and an agenda of presentations covering forecasts, maintenance strategies, industry issues and supply chain trends.

Chromalloy will exhibit advanced repairs and services at MRO Middle East and will welcome attendees at Booth 904.

Abdulrahman Altayeb, Vice President, Maintenance, Saudi Arabian Airlines, will be the keynote speaker. Workshop and seminar speakers are from leading companies representing airlines, maintenance providers, OEMs, suppliers and others.

Prior to the conference and exposition, on Feb. 4, a day-long Power Roundtable will cover issues facing the industry. The moderator will be Tiymor Kalimat, Manager, Technical Procurement, Royal Jordanian Airlines and Chairman of the IATA Maintenance Cost Task Force (MCTF).

Premier Singapore Air Show 2014 to be held February 11-16

More than 100,000 visitors from around the world are anticipated at this year’s Singapore Air Show, Asia’s largest gathering for the aerospace and defense industry. The premier airshow, one of the most important aviation events in the world, will be held at the Changi Exposition Centre, Singapore.

The six-day gathering will feature flight displays and aerobatic flyovers, a multi-hall exhibit, static display with more than 100 aircraft, training programs, and a leadership forum. More than 900 exhibiting companies from 50 countries are registered. Public days are the last two days of the show. Aero-Engines Americas teeing up in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida

Representatives from the airline maintenance industry will gather February 11-13, 2014, at the Aero-Engines Americas summit in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Sponsored by MRO Network, the summit will host maintenance officials, manufacturers, MRO providers, leasing agents, and finance and capital firms.

Opening comments at Aero-Engines Americas will feature Steve Williams, Director of Aircraft Engine Services, AJ Walter Aviation. The keynote topic is “Managing Outsourced Engine Maintenance.” Presentations will include “The Evolving Market in Engine MRO: An Industry Overview,” “Extending OEM Support to Sunset Engines: What Do Operators Want,” “Partnering with OEMS,” and others.
