Brian Nelson is appointed as Director, Strategic Projects - Operations

Brian Nelson has been named Chromalloy's new Director, Strategic Projects - Operations. Brian has significant experience as an Engineering and Operation project leader and will be accountable for leading strategic Operations projects.

Brian joins us from Esterline Technologies Corp., a global aero and defense supplier, where he was Strategic Supply Chain Project Manager. Prior to that, he was Manager of Business Development / Strategic Planning, at United Technologies Aerospace Systems. Earlier, he worked for several years within Goodrich Corporation units in successive roles, including Director of Global Manufacturing, Facility Engineering Manager, and Operations Manager. In addition, he worked for several years at Ingersoll-Rand in different roles.

Brian began his career in the U.S. Army Reserves' training division. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Oklahoma State University in industrial engineering and an MBA from Oklahoma City University. He is a certified Project Management Professional and is Six Sigma Green Belt certified.

 
 

Chan Kwai Wan joins Chromalloy as General Manager, Asia Region

Chromalloy has appointed Chan Kwai Wan, an experienced business leader with deep OEM and aftermarket manufacturing expertise, as General Manager - Asia Region. He is an industry leader with more than 35 years working for Pratt & Whitney in the aerospace OEM and aftermarket environments, Chan will help us continue to grow our business in Asia.

Chan holds a diploma in mechanical engineering, an advanced diploma in industrial engineering, an MBA from the State University of New York, and a Master in Management Science (MSc) from the University of Sheffield in the UK.

 
 

POWER-GEN Asia gears up in Seoul September 20-22

More than 8,000 industry experts and professionals from 70 countries are registered to attend POWER-GEN Asia, the region's largest conference and exhibition for the power generation, renewable and alternative energy industries. POWER-GEN Asia is scheduled for September 20-22 at the Korea International Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea.

Chromalloy will exhibit a full line of gas turbine engine component repairs, service solutions and OEM manufacturing support. POWER-GEN Asia participants are invited to visit Chromalloy in Booth F62.

Chromalloy's Dr. Charlie Nicol, Diagnostic Systems Manager and chief architect of the TIGER turbine monitoring and diagnostics systems, will be presenting at the gathering. He will be speaking on Optimizing Plant Operation, A Maintenance Outage, Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics and the Internet of Things on Wednesday, September 21st.

POWER-GEN Asia also will offer participants technical tours prior to the start of the conference and exhibition. On Monday, September 19, those registered can participate in a tour of the POSCO Incheon Combined Cycle Power Plant Unit 7/8/9 located in Incheon or Yeongheung Thermal Power Station located in the Seoul Metropolitan Area.

POWER-GEN Asia is a gathering for the industry to share information on challenges and solutions for advancing Asia's energy future. Tinker and the Primes 2016 tees up in Oklahoma

Several hundred aerospace, defense and government contracting organizations and agencies will participate in Tinker and the Primes 2016, an event that provides information, education and access to business opportunities. The conference and exhibition will be held August 22-24 in Midwest City, Okla., at the Sheraton Midwest City Hotel.
